The 6 Month Club

Ten Lives is committed to saving homeless, abused, and abandoned cats. We are dedicated to giving a second chance to those who have been forgotten: seniors, the physically and emotionally scarred, the behaviorally challenged, and those who need critical medical care. With the help of dedicated foster families and generous donors we are able to provide second chances and ensure these forgotten felines get the socialization, medical care, and some times long-term foster support they need and deserve.
Meet the members of The 6 Month Club. These are cats that have been in the Ten Lives program for 6 months or longer. This is not due their lack of adoptability, but rather because they have required additional care and support to blossom into their true selves.
We hope you’ll read their stories and consider adding one of these deserving felines to your home!

Stella spent more of her life living outside and having kittens. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan decided to take action and get Stella the help and care she desperately needed. Since arriving to Ten Lives Stella has made a lot of progress in her foster home. She was once a terrified cat that never left her crate and now she can be found exploring around her foster home, hanging out on the cat condo, and sleeping in her favorite beds. Stella fosters with 3 cats and has been fantastic with all of them. She’s going to need a quiet home with humans that are willing to give her time to blossom in her new space. But let us tell you, this gal is worth it! Every milestone she reaches warms our hearts and we love seeing her finally enjoying indoor life. Stella has been in the Ten Lives program for 311 days and would love to find her forever home! Click on her photo to learn more.

Pretty Boy joined Ten Lives after he was surrendered from an overcrowding situation. He had lived with many cats and had not received proper veterinary care. Thankfully, we were able to take PB into the rescue and get him the medical care he deserved. Because of the situation he came from, Pretty Boy is FIV+. All over the country cats with FIV are euthanized, but at Ten Lives we know they’re worth saving and equally deserving of forever homes. Pretty Boy is an incredibly affectionate cat and wants nothing more than to love and be loved. He will even accept belly rubs and we promise it’s not a trap! He’s laid back and very easy to have in the house. We think he’s easy to fall in love with, too! Pretty Boy has been in the Ten Lives program for 175 days and would love to find his forever home! Before arriving to Ten Lives Billy lived a challenging life outdoors. He was born outside, like so many kittens are, and struggled to survive. He arrived to us as an older kitten, but showed promise for socialization. With the support of his foster family, Billy has become a sweet and playful feline. He loves playing with his toys, rolling in catnip, and the company of other cats. In fact, Billy’s forever home must have another friendly feline to show him the way. If your cat is looking for a new best friend Billy could be the one! Billy has been in the Ten Lives program for 286 days and would love to find his forever home! Click on his photo to learn more.

Before arriving to Ten Lives they were with another rescue where they didn’t receive the socialization that is so important for young kittens. Thankfully, one of our dedicated foster Moms agreed to take them into her home and they have been thriving! Maya is outgoing, curious, and affectionate. April is more reserved, but curious and playful. Together, they are an incredible pair. Mochi joined Ten Lives after a volunteer heard about his story and felt compelled to help. Mochi was abandoned in an empty apartment after his owner moved out. He spent several days there without food or water before the landlord found him. It was reported by other tenants that they would hear Mochi’s owner verbally and physically abuse him- which breaks our heart. Mochi is thriving in his foster home and has blossomed into a inquisitive, affectionate, and playful feline! Though initially shy, with time and patience Mochi will make you feel like the luckiest person in the world! Mochi has been in the Ten Lives program for 205 days and would love to find his forever home! Click on his photo to learn more.

Aspen was born in one of our amazing foster homes after her Mom arrived to us very pregnant. Everyone was seemingly healthy when one day the kittens became ill with upper respiratory and conjunctivitis. Their foster Mom worked tirelessly to nurse this family back to health, which required numerous vet visits and meds. Not uncommonly, this virus also infected Aspen’s left eye. Though she has perfect vision, she will forever have a cloudy eye. Despite all of this, Aspen is the perfect teenage kitten! She loves to play and is a total love bug. She loves watching the birds and squirrels from her favorite window and is beyond adorable when she gets the zoomies! Aspen has been in the Ten Lives program for 185 days and would love to find her forever home! Arya and Sansa arrived to Ten Lives as young kittens and had been born outside. Shortly after their arrival they developed significant signs of ringworm. Ringworm is not a worm, but a fungus that affects the skin and coat. It’s totally treatable, yet across this country cats and kittens with ringworm are unnecessarily euthanized. At Ten Lives, we know cats with ringworm are worth saving. For months, Arya and Sansa have been undergoing treatment and we are elated to say they have finally been cleared of this annoying fungus! These sisters are immensely bonded and looking for a forever home together. They are curious, playful, friendly, and loving! Arya & Sansa have been in the Ten Lives program for 189 days and would love to find their forever home! Click on their photo to learn more.
