SUMMARY:Meowga for Ten Lives (Virtual!)
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday\, 10/4\, for a virtual yoga class to benefit the cats and kittens of Ten Lives! This 60 minute class will be hosted by self professed cat lady Jessica Amsden from Raffa Yoga in Cranston. The minimum donation to attend is $10. Additional donations are welcomed! Attendees will be sent a ZOOM link via email at least 24 hours before the class starts. Be sure to check your email! \nIn this class you can expect to move easily with the pace and ability of your own body as Jess is Yoga for All certified\, an inclusive\, mindful way to engage all body types and more effectively teach individual students based on their personal needs. Suggested props include: yoga mat\, two blocks (or books or shoe boxes) a yoga strap (or scarf or belt) a bolster (or comforter rolled up for support)  a yoga blanket\, water bottle and open heart. Don’t forget to invite your furry friends! \nSelf professed #crazycatlady \, #queenofprops \, Buddhist Monkey and Sassy Sarcasmist RYT-200 owner of BeYOUtiful.yoga Jessica joins us for this fun\, cat centric\, online yoga class! Our four legged friends live their yoga/best life everyday\, let’s learn a thing or two from them as we stretch out lazily\, love unconditionally\, zoom wildly (across the internet) and play unabashedly shredding up our yoga mats for this special charity event. Jessica teaches Stretch\, Restorative & Yoga Nidra at Raffa Yoga & Urban Sweat.  She prides herself in holding a warm\,  welcoming\, accessible space for her students to explore their yoga and heal body\, mind and spirit. “Yoga is a deeply personal journey.  Of the self\, through the self\, to the self. As such\, it is the highest honor and privilege to hold space for you to explore your yoga.”

DESCRIPTION:  \n \nOn May 5th\, Ten Lives Cat Rescue will participate in Giving Tuesday Now. What is GTN? It is a global day of giving and unity in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. On this day\, people all over the world will come together to lift each other up and create a wave of generosity & support for our community. \nThe world may be shut down\, but there are still cats awaiting rescue and vet care. As the world returns to normal operations we expect there will be many more cats in need of care. Together\, we can be there to provide critical spay/neuter services once it’s safe to do so. \nIn seven years\, one unspayed cat and her offspring can produce 420\,000 kittens. What is POP Pilates? \nPOP Pilates® is a fusion of strength and flexibility workout that can be done in bare feet on nothing but a yoga mat or the floor. There’s absolutely no equipment needed (other than the mat) because all of the resistance work is done using your own bodyweight. POP Pilates is inspired by traditional pilates and yoga moves but choreographed to fun\, upbeat\, pop music.
