Ten Lives Cat Rescue

Our Mission

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is committed to saving homeless, abused, and abandoned cats by providing veterinary care, rehabilitation services, and then placing them into loving adoptive homes. We are dedicated to giving a second chance to those who have been forgotten: seniors, the physically and emotionally scarred, the behaviorally challenged, and those who need critical medical care. Along with our immediate mission to rescue cats, Ten Lives is dedicated to educating communities about cat overpopulation and inspiring change.

Our Program

Ten Lives Cat is an approved 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that does not receive any state, city, or federal funding. All of our critical, life-saving funds come from generous donors who believe in our mission statement! We are a foster based program and all of our adoptable cats reside in foster homes until adopted into loving homes. We do not have a brick and mortar facility however, we are happy to provide meet & greets for approved adopters. Ten Lives is 100% volunteer-powered and rely on dedicated volunteers to complete our life-saving mission!

Our History

Ten Lives was founded in 2018 by co-founders Melissa and Heidi. After volunteering and working in the rescue/shelter world for a number of years, they identified a need for a rescue dedicated to helping under-socialized cats. They found that this population of cats were frequently overlooked or deemed unadoptable; but given the right resources and support from a dedicated foster family they could go on to blossom and live happy lives in loving homes. Shortly after starting Ten Lives, they developed The Forgotten Feline Program to help better serve under-socialized cats in our community.
