Purrs & Pages: A Grown-Up Book Fair
Your favorite grown-up book fair is back for its second year! Purrs & Pages returns with books, bookish gifts, and handcrafted treasures from local vendors, all in support of the lifesaving work of Ten Lives Cat Rescue.
Spend an afternoon exploring unique finds from independent authors, bookstores, artists, and makers while enjoying craft beer and small bites from Crook Point Brewing Company. Whether you’re searching for the perfect holiday gift, discovering your next favorite read, or treating yourself, every purchase helps the cats in Ten Lives’ care.

Meet the Bookstores:
- The Little Bubblegum Bookshop: Based in Providence, The Little Bubblegum Bookshop is Rhode Island’s first romance-only bookstore, bringing all the romance, whimsy, and bookish joy! From swoony new releases and and fun bookish goodies, there will be plenty to browse and fall in love with.
Meet the Authors:
- Hannah R. Goodman: Psychotherapist by day and writer by night, award-winning author Hannah R. Goodman prefers tea over coffee, cats over dogs, and staying in over going out. Her newest YA novel, High School Epic, captures the chaos of teenage life in the early 1990s with raw honesty, humor, and heart.
- J. L. Willow: J. L. Willow is the author of several works including the Amazon bestselling novel Missing Her. She graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering and a minor in engineering management. While she spends her days working in her field of study, her nights are spent dreaming up new thrilling (and often horrifying) tales.
- Jessie Joi: Jessie Joi is a sea witch, fantasy-romance author, and avid environmental advocate. She splits her time between communing with the spirits of nature, collecting trash from the beach, and writing down the dreams that turn into her next novels. Jessie is the author of The Turning Tides Series, a fantasy romance duology about merfolk in the modern world and the witch’s apprentice, a witchy murder mystery set in the heart of New Orleans. - Renee Valentine: Local debut author of A Love-Love Match all about second chances while in Paris. When not writing, Renee Valentine enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

- Bewick’d Studio: Magical home fragrances for readers, dreamers & lovers. Our luxury scents are uniquely blended and poured at home in small batches. We make candles, wax melts, room sprays, car diffusers & more that are pet safe for book lovers.
- Euphoric Chapters: Euphoric Chapters is a woman owned business that brings our favorite stories to life through makeup and bookish merch across all genres. Our makeup is proudly cruelty free, paraben free and vegan!
- Legendary Lynn: Lynn’s artwork of magical cuties reflect her inspirations from fairytales, animals, and the supernatural. She sells stickers, prints, enamel pins and more. On site mini pet portraits are available.
- Made by Taylor: As a fellow book lover, Made by Taylor channels her passion for reading and creating into making her own handcrafted hardcovers! She creates unique designs and make the covers entirely from scratch. On top of that, she also creates unique enamel pins – both book-related and not!
- Pearl and Peony Crafts: Handcrafted, nickel-free polymer clay earrings in a variety of styles, including books, holiday, 3D flowers, coastal and more. Each pair is handmade, lightweight and for pieces with 3D flowers, every petal is individually hand-shaped and placed, ensuring that each pair is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art.

In addition to shopping local, you can make an even bigger impact by bringing donations for the cats in our foster program. We’ll be collecting new, unopened cat food and litter to help stock our foster homes throughout the holiday season, when the need is especially great.
