Ten Lives Cat Rescue Announces New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Ten Lives Cat Rescue is pleased to announce the appointment of Sabrina Pelletier as the new Executive Director. Pelletier will succeed Melissa Rodas when she steps down in February 2026. Pelletier and Rodas will collaborate closely to ensure continuity during the transition period.

Pelletier is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and brings experience in communications and marketing. She has been a dedicated volunteer at Ten Lives since 2021, fostering more than 100 cats and securing vital funding to help cats in RI. Most recently, Pelletier served as the Foster & Adoption Manager for Ten Lives. In this role, she led a volunteer-powered team that provides services to more than 400 cats and facilitates nearly 300 adoptions annually. 

“I am honored to step into this role with a deep commitment to Ten Lives’ mission,” Pelletier shared. “I am excited to continue working alongside the dedicated individuals who are creating lasting change in our community, and look forward to building upon the strong foundation that has helped thousands of cats.”

As one of the founders of Ten Lives Cat Rescue, Rodas has led the organization with unwavering dedication, compassion, and vision. Under her leadership, Ten Lives has grown into a trusted rescue committed to providing dignity for cats in Rhode Island, while supporting the community that makes this work possible. We are deeply thankful for her leadership, commitment, and the lasting impact she has made on the organization and the lives it serves.

Rodas will continue her involvement with Ten Lives by serving on the Board of Directors. Ten Lives remains committed to our core mission, programs, and partnerships. Our work will continue without interruption, and we are energized by what lies ahead.
